If you read FAQ page you would think I'm some kind a hypocrite, trying to
sell you new air conditioner equipment while still having a 26 year and 14
year old unit myself. That was not explained properly, I want to, in my

house change the entire system from what I have, to something that I've

been working and tinkering on for years. It has to do with parabolic troughs
, ground loop, hydronic coils, and economize type return air system. I
believe the answer to the energy problems in the United States, are
nuclear power, and solar technology. I have an idea that I want to try on my
own house. I don't think the US government is going to allow me to put a
nuclear power plant in my backyard. So I have been tinkering with solar
energy as it may be used in connection with central air conditioning. It's
been a few years since I wrote that page, in the meantime I had a air
conditioning condenser unit motor failure. It just happened to be one of
those manufactured motors that had ear tabs on it. Having ear tabs on the
motor meant that I didn't have a replacement on all my trucks and all the
shelves in the shop. Sometimes it just works that way,you have to go get
the part. The problem was it was Sunday morning and hot. My better half
of 32 years gave me a honeydew choice. " You can either go to the shop,
get the forklift, get down one of those brand-new units from the top shelf,
and come home and put it in. Or I have a better suggestion , we can go to
the Hyatt Regency Hotel and have a nice COOL day. I would like to do
some shopping anyway ".  As I pondered these suggestions and you can
imagine as i put the key in the ignition of my truck. The forklift was a little
hard to start, but I got her done. So to go back to the age of equipment, I
now have an indoor unit of about 29 years. And a brand-new outdoor unit
of one year. You've heard the old story that the shoemakers children don't
have any shoes, well and same for the air-conditioning man. Sure I'd like to
try some of the brand-new equipment that's available, I would personally
like to see how it works over a 24 hour period. I also have my little tinkering
dream, that if it pans out the way I think it will, might be an improvement to
the air-conditioning industry. So this is the reason why somebody that
owns and air-conditioning company would have such old equipment in his
own personal home. I might add that it has been WELL maintained and
never a oz of gas in 29 years.
