- Heat Pump Systems are more consistent as far as energy consumption is concerned. Both
heating and cooling are generated from the outdoor heat pump system so its annual
energy usage averages out to provide 4 times more savings. That's a lot of $$$$ back in
your pocket.
- If you heat with electricity, a heat pump can reduce the amount of electricity you use by 30%
to 40%.
- Heat Pump Air handlers or furnaces have electrical resistance heat elements which act as a
supplemental heating source on extremely cold days and nights. They also can act as
emergency heat if your heat pump system is not working properly.
- There are other types of heat pumps available such as geothermal (ground source or water
source) which transfer heat at extremely high efficiency ratings. Although they cost more to
buy and install, they have lower operating costs than conventional heat pump or air
conditioning systems.
- Tom Durbin AC & Mechanical is certified by the IGSHPA (International Ground Source Heat
Pump Association) making us the right choice for conventional high efficiency heat pumps
or Ultra-High efficiency Geothermal heat pump applications for your home. Call us today!
