Manufacturer’s representatives are telling us that leftover R22 equipment stock will be depleted by the first quarter of 2010. Some manufacturers have already sold out of R22 freon equipment. So any new or replacement units will have to be puron or R410a systems , only because that is the only thing that will be available as a replacement or new system.

NEWS FLASH FEB-2011
Do to high consumer complaints and high cost of r410a upgrades several manufacturers have devised a way to get around the new law by shipping r22 new condensing units dry. Meaning they are shipping r22 outside units without any freon in them. This will allow you to replace you outside ac unit without doing a full conversion. Guess what the prices are… HIGH… and you will have to add the cost of a freon charge after the install of these units. We have no knowledge as to how long their dry ac units will be available.
I think we have been gigged again
